DUNCAN FALLS - A. Dale Archer, 52, of 3225 Forest Hills Lane, Zanesville, died at 9:20 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 1995, at the Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, Tenn.

Born Dec. 25, 1942, in Chandlersville, he was aself-employed contractor and the owner of Dale Archer Trucking and Excavating Co. He retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation in 1983 and was a race car sponsor. He was a member of Gage & Gavel Lodge No. 448 and Amrou Grotto of Zanesville.

Surviving are his mother, I. Ruth Adams Archer of 3805 Chandlersville Road; Dawn Mayle of Forest Hills Lane; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Dale D. and Liz Archer of 2003 Marion Ave., Rodney Archer of Raymond, N. H. and Randy Archer of Savannah, Ga.; a sister Eloise French of Adamsville; and three grandchildren, Jeremy Archer, Layne Archer and Kathleen Rose Archer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Archer; and a sister, Patsy Robinson, who died Jan. 14, 1991.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, 383 Main St., Duncan Falls, where Gage & Gavel will [be] conducting ritualistic services at 6:30 p.m. today.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 1995, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rich Hill Township Cemetery in Chandlersville.
