Donna Joy McKirahan

NEW CONCORD: Donna Joy McKirahan, 69, of New Concord, passed away Monday afternoon January 9, 2012 at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, following a brief illness.
She was born February 16, 1942, in Zanesville a daughter of Esther Thelma Harding Browning of New Concord and the late William Donald Browning. She retired as a teacher of cosmetology at Mid East Career Center, Zanesville and was a former beautician in New Concord. She was a member of the New Concord United Methodist Church and was a former EMT for the New Concord Fire Department.
Donna's artistic talent was expressed in her crafts, oil paintings, and her flowers and gardening. She loved spending time at Buckeye Lake especially with her grandchildren and extended family. She was a loving, caring, and generous person to all.
In addition to her mother; she leaves two daughters, Staci Heller, of Lewis Center and Gwyn (Brian) Griffiths of Loveland; one son, Jeff (Rachel) McKirahan, of New Concord; her twin sister, Billie Jean (Fritz) Tender, of Hebron; and two brothers, Richard A. (Peggy) Browning, of Henderson, Nevada, and Kurt L. (Bev) Browning, of Sonora; and ten grandchildren, Brock Heller, Alexa Heller, Nick Griffiths, Jessica Griffiths, Nina Griffiths, Gianna Griffiths, Jordan Jones, Kaden Jones, Paige McKirahan, and Alli McKirahan.
Friends may call Friday, January 13, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Mock-Miller Funeral Home, 63 West Main Street, New Concord. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in New Concord Cemetery.
