Loretta Kay Doughty, 61
ZANESVILLE - Loretta Kay Doughty, 61, of Zanesville, passed away at 2:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House, with her family by her side.
Kay was born Aug. 18, 1942, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Elton and Helen White Wheeler. She was employed in the deli department of Pick 'N Save (south store), loved cake baking, Ohio State football and NASCAR.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Doughty, whom she married Dec. 22, 1960, Kay died on their 43rd anniversary. Also surviving are two daughters, Amy Jo Durant of Dresden and Michelle "Missy" (Jeff) Miller of Nasport; five grandchildren, Jill Doughty, Stephanie Durant, Jordon, Dylan and Alyssa Miller; a sister: Kathie (Bob) Alexander of Bridgeville, four brothers; Gerald "Sie" (Betty) Wheeler of Zanesville, Robert (Janice) Wheeler of Sonora, Clarence "Hud" (Bonita) Wheeler of Zanesville and Jeff Wheeler of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Ed and Jim Wheeler; two sisters, Yvonne Shinn and Della Foraker; and several nephews.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Bryan Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at the funeral home with the Rev . Tom England officiating and committal service to follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Sonora.
